This week has been a different one for me.
Typically, I work full-time through the week, while Chloe is in daycare. Since Chloe's been so sick (hospitalized for 4 nights with pneumonia and the flu), we didn't want her back in daycare right away so my mother was great enough to watch her for the week. Except my mother lives an hour away.
Luckily, my mother has an iPad and I have an iPhone so we can video chat all the time.
While it is absolutely amazing to not be woken through the night or early in the morning, or have to worry about anyone's needs but mine, I miss my girl. I miss her smiles and her kisses. I miss hearing her say her new favorite word - no.
I miss her even more because it's been more than two weeks since she's been herself.
I've never had pneumonia, but it sure takes it's toll on a little girl. She's been out of the hospital for a week, and her eating is still messed up, and she just started being a little happy again, where before it was mostly whining and crying.
Today I pick her up after work, and I can't wait to see her (hopefully) happy smile.

So far I haven't spent a night away from Hunter yet though I'm sure I will at some point in the next few months. Hope you get some good time with her this weekend.
I can only imagine how hard that would be!! I hope she's feeling lots better so you can go back to mostly normal. :)

You are going to have the best weekend with your baby! Just having her home will be so nice.
I've been away from home for the weekend and haven't seen my kids for a day or so. I always miss them very much!
